My Everything Post | Number 2

Hello, my friends, hello!

It’s been a few days since I last posted, and that’s because finals had me in their evil clutches all the way up until yesterday. I have NEVER procrastinated so much in my life. I’m not sure what was wrong, but I just could NOT find the motivation to study. I saved my 12-15 page paper two days before it was due and I studied for my business exam the night before.

Finals got me good this year. They got me good.

But hey! I finished the essay on time and I completed my last final yesterday. I am officially FREEEEE!!!!

Unfortunately I didn’t get to share anything this week. So, here’s an everything post to make up for it! Needless to say, this is a hella long post. You have been warned. Enjoy!

Book Tag Tuesday | Rapid Fire Book Tag (Part 1)

Many thanks to the wonderful Sophie @ Blame Chocolate for tagging me in this insanely fun book tag. If you haven’t already, please take the time to check out her lovely blog! She’s got all sorts of amazing content I think you’d all enjoy! 😀

There’s a lot of questions for this tag, so I’ll do half of them now to prevent this post from being an infinite scroll.

The Questions:
E-book or Physical book?

Nine times out of ten, I’d choose a physical book. But if there’s a great deal on an e-book or if I need to bring my e-reader for travel purposes, I’ll go digital.

Paperback or Hardback?

I love the way hardbacks look on my shelf but they’re so expensive. So I’ll usually go for paperbacks to save money. But if it’s a book I know I’ll love before purchasing or if it’s a paperback I’ve come to love, I’ll get the hardback so that they last longer.

Online or In-Store Book Shopping?

I like to do a bit of both. Amazon’s got some great deals but I still love perusing the bookshelves at the bookstore and picking one (or two…or seven) up to take home with me.

The Last Book You Finished?

The Rose Society by Marie Lu.

23846013

Trilogies or Series?

I don’t really have a preference. Heck, I’m okay with a duology. But only if it’s Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom.

Heroes or Villains?

I’m more a fan of anti-heroes (how ya doin over there, Kaz? Rhys?), but I love just plain old heroes and plain old villains, so long as their stories are captivating and well-written.

A Book You Want Everyone To Read?

By now, I’m sure you all know how much of a fan I am of Six of Crows and ACOMAF, so I won’t reiterate that again. But I kind of just did, so…… Anyways, here’s a (slightly) new recommendation: The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater.

Scorpio Races

Honestly, I think this is Maggie’s best work. Highly recommend this one.

Used Books: Yes or No?

Heck ya! I’m a broke college student. I’ll take what I can get! Plus, I love showing support for my local Friends of the Library Bookstore.

Top Three Favorite Genres?

Young Adult, Fantasy, Mystery/Thriller

Weirdest Thing You’ve Used as a Bookmark?

Probably a tea cup…

Recommend an Underrated Author?

Chanda Hahn! Most of her books are e-books but I think a few are now printed in paperback, which makes me so happy for her! If you like the idea of the Grimm Fairy Tales mixed with a little bit of wit and modern day trends, then you’ll love her books.

Waiting on Wednesday | December 7th

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme that was started by Ginger Reads Lainey and is now being looked after by Thoughts on Tomes. The topics can be found on Goodreads.

This week’s topic is: Books You Want to Finally Read in 2017

Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton | I’ve been meaning to read this one ever since it came out, but I’ve just never gotten around to buying it.

Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes | I’ve been recommended this series several times, so I’d love to try it out soon.

Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling | I’ve watched all the movies. Now it’s time to read all the books.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell | This would be my first Rainbow Rowell book, and I heard it’s phenomenal, so that’s something to look forward to.

The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater | I read Raven Boys about two years ago and didn’t like it much. I read Scorpio Races afterwards and loved it so much that I decided to give the Raven Cycle another go.

Rambling # 5 | It Must Be A Sign

You know you’re tired when you dream that you’re sleeping. This was my entire dream: I fell asleep in an armchair and I woke up in my bed for a brief second and fell back asleep…in my dream.

FML.

And that’s it! I’m sorry this was such a long post. I just really needed something fun to do and blogging always helps. And forgive me if I’ve been slow in my responses to your comments. Just been so busy lately. But I’ll respond back as soon as I can! Thanks for hanging in there with me 🙂

Hope everyone has a wonderful day/night! I’ll see ya soon ❤
