April has so many new releases I'd like to read but I think I might save them for another month. I've got so many library loans to attend to first!
Sometimes the hype train delivers, most of the time, not really. These are 5 hyped up books that didn't work out for me.
There are a few books I've got my eye on this month. I think (I HOPE) they're all gonna be good 😉

I might be reading a bit slower now, but I've gotten some great reading done during the first half of this year.
I think my posting this TBR ten days after the beginning of June is testament to my current mood. Though I'd usually love to devour books day by day, I'm not exactly in the mood to do so, especially considering what's been going on in the world today.
Considering that two of my most anticipated releases this month are sci-fi, I found it fitting to just dedicate this month to the genre.
I'm EXHAUSTED by these over-used phrases. So I've come up with a list of alternatives.
I took a look at my shelves to see what type of books have been sitting there a while and most of them seem to be those 400+ fantasy epics that probably have assassins and royals and some sort of Chosen One. Meaning, I've discovered my theme.
I noticed I haven't made an update post for Beat the Backlist even though I made the pledge in January. These are the books I've managed to finish up this year, so far!
