Wrap Up : April 2020 | Reads and Reviews

April 2020 was an interesting month. There wasn’t much I could do outside so I buckled down on my inside hobbies, which mainly consists of reading and video games. Since I had so much time on my hands, I could finally get to those backlist books that have been sitting on my shelves, which also happened to be mainly fantasy books. So, April just HAD to be fantasy themed.

Though not much went down in April, there were still a few highlights that made my month pretty joyful despite all that’s gone down. This will be one of my shorter wrap ups, 1) because I’m lazy and 2) because I really can’t think of anything fun to share LOL

THE QUEEN’S ASSASSIN | Melissa de la Cruz | 2.5 out of 5

ALL THE STARS AND TEETH | Adalyn Grace | 3.5 out of 5

THE SHADOWS BETWEEN US | Tricia Levenseller | 4 out of 5

CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE | Tomi Adeyemi | 3 out of 5

THE KINGDOM OF BACK | Marie Lu | 4 out of 5

ONLY MOSTLY DEVASTATED | Sophie Gonzales | 3.5 out of 5

  • I finally learned how to build a nice house in Sims 4 – Riverwake Manor is my crowning achievement
  • My baby cousin, Avery, turned 1 this month!!
  • Most of my backlist books that I had at home have now been read 😉
  • My family went back to our roots and played a few cutthroat rounds of Monopoly, Payday, and Phase 10
  • T’was my parents’ 29th, my auntie and uncle’s 60th, and my good friend’s 1st wedding anniversary 🎇🎈✨🎉🎊💕
  • My friend and I concocted a plan to watch all the Marvel movies in chronological order. We’ve already checked off Captain America and will move on to Captain Marvel next

I had hoped to do some more blog hopping in April but I got caught up in all the reading. And I really wanted to share some of my favorite posts from other bloggers, but I wasn’t on WordPress enough to compose a list. Funnily enough, I actually had a list for January and March but forgot to share them. So, I’m promising myself that April WILL be the month of blog hopping and sharing favorite posts/ideas 😉

My May TBR will be up sometime soon. I’ve already started and finished one book, Docile, and it actually fits perfectly into the theme I have planned for this month. I won’t be reviewing it, but it falls in the middle with a 3-star rating from me 🤷🏽‍♀️

Anyways, that’s all for now. Thanks so much for stopping by. Until next time 💗
