December TBR and Most Anticipated Reads

I’ve been reading a lot of amazing books these past couple of months and I want to keep that going. There are still a few books in my library that I haven’t touched just yet and I know that they’ll be fantastic experiences so those will mostly be part of my TBR.

I’ve been looking at the December releases for this year and I have to say that there aren’t actually that many that I’m interested in reading at the moment. All except one and I think you all know what that one is, especially if you’re a Cassandra Clare fan.

So here’s a list of the books that I hope to read this month and at the end I’ll pick one or two books that I’m most excited to read.

Muse of Nightmares | Laini Taylor

I started reading this one last month but I didn’t finish, so my mission is to complete it by the end of this month. I just wasn’t in the mood midway through so hopefully I can get that mood back and finish it out.

Thunderhead | Neal Shusterman

I’ve been meaning to read this one ever since it was released but I just haven’t gotten around to it so hopefully this month will be the time that I do.

Winter | Marissa Meyer

I’ll be honest and admit that I want to read this one during this month mostly because it’s the name of this season. But I’ve also been dying to finish up the series.

Clockwork Princess | Cassandra Clare

My reading buddy and I have finally started Clockwork Princess this month. We probably won’t finish it this month but I’m glad that we’re near the end of the trilogy so that we can get back to TMI and then roll into TDA. Although, since I read TMI and TID before, I’ll already be reading Queen of Air and Darkness this month. So I’ll be rereading TDA next year with Daan, hopefully.

Circe | Madeleine Miller

I think I’ve waited long enough to read this one. I think it would make a great winter read for some reason. I really do hope I get to it this month though. I’ve heard so many amazing things.

Queen of Air and Darkness | Casaandra Clare

It’s the book that we’ve all been waiting for this entire year. After the ending of the last book I think we all deserve to know what happens next. I’m so excited and so scared of what Cassie Clare will do to us. But I’m ready to be destroyed.

Bright We Burn | Kiersten White

I was sooo excited to get this book when it was first released but there were so many other books I was reading at the time that I just set it aside for a time. And then I completely forgot about it. And my heart hurts because I did. So I think it would be fantastic to actually get to read it this month or anytime soon.

The Grisha Trilogy (sans Book 3) | Leigh Bardugo

In preparation of King of Scars I thought it would be best to reread the Grisha trilogy. I realize that I never actually finished the trilogy; I never finished the third book. So my goal is to reread the first two books this month and then read the third book next month so that the end of the story will be fresh in my mind when I begin King of Scars.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire | J.K. Rowling

This one’s an “if.” I’m not sure I’ll be able to read all of these books and so I’m not sure I’ll actually be able to read HP this month but I’ve put it on here just in case it happens. I think it would be nice to read a HP book during Christmas time.

Most Anticipated Reads

I know it’s a lot of books, but I am determined to read most if not all of these because they all sound so amazing and I just want to get lost in them. Obviously I’m overreaching but it’s great to have the options there.

So what do you guys think of my list? Got any of your own anticipated reads for this month?

Anyways, thanks for stopping by! Until next time

  1. Oh this is an intense TBR list for the month Azia, I really hope you manage to get through all these books because you have some brilliant ones on your list. 😀
Muse of Nightmares is incredible, it’s such a brilliant sequel to Strange the Dreamer and I’m sure you’ll love it. Also Circe is probably going to end up being one of my favourite reads of this year so I’ll be looking forwards to seeing your thoughts on that one. 🙂
Great post, and good luck with your December TBR list. 🙂 ❤

    1. I don’t think it’s a manageable list, but one can hope right? There’re just so many books I’m dying to read haha

I was about a 1/4 way through Muse of Nightmares before I put it down, but what I read I loved. It’s amazing so far. Laini is fantastic. And can’t wait for Circe. I hear nothing but good things. And it won the Goodreads award too! So, definitely looking forward to it 🙂
      Thanks so much, Beth! ❤

    1. I managed to finish Thunderhead (which I LOVED! That ending!), Winter (liked it too), and still working through Clockwork Princess but it’s still as good as I remembered it to be 😀 Still need to finish Muse and Circe! But hoped you loved QOAAD if you got around to it 🙂
