Monthly TBR and Currently Reading

There are quite a few books coming out this month that I would love to get to as soon as possible, but there are also a few books that I got a while ago that I’d love to get to this month as well. So here’s my expected TBR, but I know for certain that I’ll end up reading something else entirely. My mood decides what I put in my hands, but I’ll try hard to stick to my TBR this month!

THE LAST OF AUGUST | Brittany Cavallard

I read the first book last year and enjoyed it well enough. I don’t remember much of what happened so I might have to reread the first book before diving into this one, but I’m in much need of a mystery book right about now. This one seems fun.

For some reason I couldn’t finish this book last month. It’s so damn short but I was just not in the mood. It was nice seeing the characters again, but I needed something with a plot so I put this one down for a sec. I’ll probably finish it up this month, though.

SAVE THE DATE | Morgan Matson

What’s summer without a Morgan Matson book? This is her newest release and I’m so in the mood for a cute and fluffy contemporary romance. Hope this one is just as good as her others!

I’d heard about this one since last year and I’ve been dying to read it since then. I got it about a month ago but haven’t cracked it open. But since I’m in the mood to read more contemporaries, now is the best time to read it.

FURYBORN | Claire Legrand

I’d been hoping to read this book last month, just a few days after its release but I was too busy to commit to such a high fantasy book. So I’ve put it off for now. Hopefully I can get to it this month! I’ve heard nothing but good things so far.

LEGENDARY | Stephanie Garber

I cannot WAIT to read this one. Caraval was a favorite of mine last year and I’ve been dying to see where the story goes since then. It’s a blend of fantasy and mystery so it’s just the kind of book I’m in the mood to get lost in!

I’ve already fallen in love with this series and so I’m in a hurry to move on to the next installments. Can’t wait to read this one and return to Hogwarts!

Alternate Reads

It’s been a while since A Torch Against the Night was released. It’d be an understatement to say that we’ve waited a long time for this third book. I’m dying to read it once it’s released and so I might just drop everything to read this once I get my hands on it.

SMOKE IN THE SUN | Renee Ahdieh

I enjoyed Flame in the Mist well enough but I don’t think I’m in a huge hurry to read this second book. So I might end up saving it for next month. But who knows? I might change my mind. But it’s a candidate for this month!

  1. I hope you manage to get through A Court of Frost and Starlight this month Azia, I read it last month and I dunno it was good but I guess I kind of expected more. I feel like I’m a little bored with Rhys and Feyre and want to get onto the other characters the next full length novel will be featuring. Still it was a good read. 🙂
I also have Legendary on my TBR list for June and Save the Date by Morgan Matson too, they’re both holiday reads of mine so I’m really really excited to get around to them.
I really hope you enjoy all these books. Happy reading! 😀 ❤

    1. I’m fighting my way through ACOFAS right now and it’s tough. I agree that I’m a little bored with Rhys and Feyre’s story. I just think that we’ve gone as far with them as we should have and that their story is done. Time to focus on another character/couple now I think. But I still enjoy the camaraderie within the Inner Circle. Their antics give me life. Still though, I’d like to move on with the story!
I really do hope you love Legendary! I finished it about a day ago and thought it was brilliant. Much better than the first, which is definitely saying something.
      Thanks and you too!

      1. Yes that’s exactly what I thought. I kind of feel like Feyre and Rhys’s story is over now so I was more interested in the secondary characters and we just didn’t get enough of them at all. Yeah I loved the dynamic between all the characters, but you need more than that to carry a book.
I’ve start Legendary today, so far so good but I am only about seven chapters in. 😀
