The Seven Deadly Sins Tag

Man, it’s been a while since I’ve done a tag!! I was tagged so long ago by the wonderful Ava @Β Reads, Rhythms, and RuminationsΒ to do this fun little tag!

I’m a casual lover of anime, so my mind instantly went to The Seven Deadly Sins on Netflix for this one! Let’s get started then!

What is your most inexpensive book? What is your most expensive book?

My most inexpensive book would have to be my 50 cent copy of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I found it at the little used bookstore within my local library! I have a couple collections that were pretty expensive, but my most expensive book is actually the new 10th anniversary edition of Cassie Clare’s City of Bones. Got it for nearly $40 at B&N! It’s GORGEOUS!!! Totally worth the money.

What author do you have a love/hate relationship with?

That would be John Green. I love only a couple of his books. Paper Towns and Looking for Alaska were pretty good, but An Abundance of Katherines and The Fault in Our Stars were no-goes for me. I’m sure I’ll like Turtles All the Way Down, so I really don’t know how to feel about Green, to be honest.

What book have you devoured over and over with no shame?

I seriously don’t know why, but I’ve read The Host by Stephanie Meyer several times over. There’s just something about it that I can’t help but love.

What book have you neglected reading due to laziness?

There are more books I neglect to read because I’m not in the mood for them, but there are some that I neglect to read because when I look at them, I see days upon days of my life and time sacrificed just to get through them. One of these books would be A Song of Fire and Ice. I really, really want to read it, but damn if I won’t lose time trying to get through it.

What book do you talk about in order to sound like an intelligent reader?

I defer back toΒ the classics.Β Pride and Prejudice? Why yes, good sir, I have read such a remarkable text. Great Expectations? Indubitably. The Odyssey? Ah, a wonderfully enchanting read, that one is. The Great Gatsby? An astounding work of art, my good fellow!

What attributes do you find attractive in male or female characters?

I’m with both Ava and Mandy on this one. Humor is such an attractive quality in male characters, as well as compassion and understanding. The same goes for females! πŸ˜€

What book would you like to receive as a gift?

Every singe book in the world? Just kidding (not really). I’d actually LOVE to receive Obsidio or Queen of Air and Darkness (Dark Artifices, #3) as a gift for when they’re finally released. Both are two of my most anticipated reads of 2018!

My Tagees:

Beth @ Reading Every Night

Anna @ My Bookish Dream

Daan @ A Library Monster

Ioana @ Dragon Waffles

Anyone else who would love to do this tag, you’ve been tagged, too!Β  Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see ya soon! ❀ πŸ˜€

  1. Thanks for the tag 😁 This sounds fun to answer *^* I didn’t love all of John Green’s Books either ! I liked the Fault in our Stars but Looking for Alaska and mostly Paper Towns were a miss for me ! I intend to read Turtles All The Way Down, I hope it lives up to the hype ! And Obsidio is on my most anticipated releases! WHY can it not be here sooner 😭

    1. Sure thing! Yeah, it seems like a few of his books can be hits or misses. I really hope Turtles lives up to the hype too! I know right?! I would love to read Obsidio RIGHT NOW, but at least we have time to reread Illuminae and Gemina!

  2. ohmyword I feel the EXACT same about John Green. True, I’ve only read Looking for Alaska and Turtles, but both were just OK I feel like. John has a tendency to leave very little room for interpretation when it comes to the book’s message. ❀ amazing tag!!!!! I think I'm going to do this one! πŸ™‚

    1. Oh yay!! So glad I’m not the only one. And I definitely agree. It seems there’s only one specific message he’d like you to glean from his stories haha. And I hope you do! It’s a really fun one! I’d love to see your answers πŸ˜€

  3. Thanks so much for the tag Azia, and I love the look of this one so hopefully I’ll be able to get around to it soon-ish as well (I’m going to try something new with my tags to try and get through them a little quicker.)
I loved reading your answers as well. I spend way too much money on books, and my most expensive book is way way way over what I think most people would have ever paid for a book, but I can’t bring myself to regret buying it. πŸ™‚ Also yes if someone could buy me either Obsidio or Queen of Air and Darkness I would be eternally grateful, especially because that would mean I could get around to TDA series that little bit sooner! πŸ˜€
Great post and again thanks for the tag! πŸ™‚ ❀️

    1. Of course! Oh I wonder what your new tag strategy is LOL. Some books you just have to buy, no matter the price! And I’m so ready for those two books to be released. I can’t believe I have to wait so long for either of them to be released!
Thanks and no worries! ❀ Hope you enjoy it πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you! Isn’t it gorgeous?! The art is glorious. My favorite character profile is Jace’s! I also love Clary’s though! Those two books are gonna be phenomenal, I can feel it in my bones LOL

  5. Perfect tag, Azia! I too find that my whole self changes after reading the classics as though I become this sophisticated aristocrat who twirls their glass around while talking about opera or something xD I don’t think I look any more intelligent than I am but it does make me feel a bit fancier!
GoT… Ah, I have the whole series on my shelf just waiting to be read… I don’t know when that day will be but I hope soon?
As for the favorite traits, yup, definitely agree. There’s nothing I love more than a character making me laugh or their witty remarks. Gotta blame my sapiosexuality xD
    Wonderful post, hon πŸ™‚

    1. Ah yes, the mustache. And a monocle! Can’t forget those things.
And I hope so too! GoT is just so intimidating as a book series. I would love to get to them someday too, but just not today haha
      Humor is sexy πŸ˜‰
      Thanks, Sophie! ❀

  6. Thank you for tagging me and ignore my general bad-ness at commenting back and stuff (I WAS ON HIATUS OK *hides behind TBR pile in shame* I AM SOSOOSOSOS SORRY!! I am hereby offering you trough the internet a cupcake as an offering of peace.)

I’m glad somebody else UNDERSTANDS my complicated relationship status with John Green. I’m not even sure if it’s him or me but I wasn’t impressed by TFIOS but I liked Turtles All The Way Down a whole lot and I never finished Paper Towns…so huh there’s that. I guess we just don’t click.

I would LOVE to get Queen of Air and Darkness tomorrow if that’s possible pretty please IT’S MY MOST ANTICIPATED BOOK OF THE YEAR OK I NEED IT LIKE I NEED AIR.

    1. Is is chocolate? Let’s just pretend it’s chocolate LOL. And don’t worry! As you can see, it takes me forever and an age to comment/answer back too!

For me, I feel like John Green writes the same exact story every single time. Same type of characters in a different story, but with the same story to tell, you know??? As another commenter said, he doesn’t leave much room for interpretation. I hope I like Turtles, at least. I’ve heard good things about it.

IT’S DEFINITELY MINE TOO! Especially after that ending of LoS!!!

  7. I love The Seven Deadly Sins, so I’m definitely going to borrow your idea and use those banners as well. They are my first thought as well when someone says “seven deadly sins”. πŸ˜€
I’m neglecting the A Song of Ice and Fire series as well due to laziness. I have read the first two book, but they take me ages to get through, so I never really feel like picking the up.
Thank you for tagging me! ❀ I really look forward to doing this tag! πŸ™‚

    1. Go right on ahead! I’d love to see your answers πŸ˜€ At least you managed to get through the first two books! It’ll take me a while to even pick up the first book haha
And of course! Hope you have fun with this one πŸ˜€
