So far my plan is working. I’ve been staying on top my awards and tags. Granted, I haven’t even touched the ones I received months ago, but I’ll get there eventually! I was recently nominated (along with quite a few other amazing bloggers) by Alex @ coffeeloving bookholic. Thanks a million for nominating me! ❤
This award is for bloggers who strive to write for everybody, and no matter how many viewers they get, make an impact on a reader. This award is an expression of gratitude to the nominee. It should be awarded to anybody that you choose deserves it, and it doesn’t mean that they must have hundreds of followers and likes.
The Rules:
- Thank the person who nominated you
- Answer the 3 questions posed by the nominator
- Nominate up to 8 other bloggers and provide them with your own 3 questions
- If any of the questions asked are offensive or the nominee simply does not want to answer, the nominee does not have to answer them to earn the award
Alex’s Questions
1) Do you listen to music while reading? If yes, what’s your favorite music to listen to?
Occasionally, I do. I’ll play some classical music (Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven) or some form of instrumental music. At times I listen to film scores, particularly How to Train Your Dragon, and video game soundtracks, specifically The Last of Us and Kingdom of Hearts (“Dearly Beloved” is my jam).
2) If you had to choose, would you rather live near the mountains or at the beach?
Mountains. I have a thing for trees and lakes. I love the look and smell of trees (Maples and Sycamores are my favorites) and lakes are usually just so peaceful. If I could, I’d own a cabin in the mountains.
3) In case you’re watching booktube, who is your favorite booktuber and why?
I don’t watch much booktube. But I’ve recently followed a booktuber channel called LilyCReads. She doesn’t post often and she’s pretty savage, but she makes some really great points about certain books. My favorite video is her rant review about Anna and the French Kiss.
My Questions
1) What’s the longest time you’ve gone without reading?
2) How do you arrange your bookshelves? And if you don’t have proper bookshelves, what would your dream shelves look like?
3) Is there an extreme sport (i.e. skydiving, snowboarding, gliding) you like to do or would like to do?
My Nominees

Great answers for this award Azia, and I’m also glad to hear your plan for keeping on top of your tags is working! 😀 Hopefully you’ll be able to make your way through your backlog eventually as well. For me it’s the backlog that creeps up on me.
I love the movie How to Train Your Dragon, and I love the soundtrack as well. When it comes to movie soundtracks there are very few I’ve loved enough to put on my iPod but HTTYD is definitely one of them. I really need to watch that film again! 🙂
Also yes I’d definitely choose to live by the mountains over living by the beach. I just think it would be so much more peaceful like you said! ❤

Yup! It’s going well! I think I might stay with this strategy lol. That backlog is so daunting haha.
Agreed! The only movie soundtrack I’ve put on my mp3 is HTTYD. Of course, I have some Disney songs on there, but not entire soundtracks haha.
Mountains ftw!! 😉 ❤

Glad to hear it’s working. Yeah the backlog is always daunting. I’m working my way through mine at the moment. 🙂
HTTYD is one of the best though, and it’s the same with Disney in my opinion! 😀 ❤️

Oh good! Hope you manage to get through all of your backlog one day 😀
Disney is pure magic when it comes to music haha ❤

I love listening to soundtracked and classical music while reading too! I would choose Mountians too because who has time for all the sand and humidity and never ending scorching sun?!
Great post ;).

Oh yay! Twinsies LOL. Yeah, I can only stand the beach for about day before I’d call it quits haha.
Thanks so much! 😀

Congratulations, Azia!! ❤ (again hahaha) And don't worry, we're all so not on top of all our tags XD
I really need to check out LilyCReads… I love savage booktubers XD And savage reviewers in general. I just don't care much for the "5 stars everything, everything was lovely" type of people (it's impossible that you don't have ONE BAD THING to say about ANYTHING. EVER) It's just… No. I'm watching you.
One that I really like (most of the time, she has some not so great videos) is Francina Simone. She's a writer too, and always has pretty neat discussions on her channels.

Thank you, Sophie! 😀 Savage book reviews are my favorite. Even though some of my favorite books are torn down, savage reviewers make some really great points that I never noticed before haha. Puts things in perspective for me 🙂 I always try to avoid giving an “everything is amazing” type of review. Even for ACOMAF, which is one of my favorite YA books ever, I made sure to list all the things that weren’t that strong in comparison to everything else haha. I’ll be sure to check out Simone! I love discussion videos 😀

Hahaha absolutely! I love reading negative reviews about my faves as well. If they make sense, that is.
I hope you enjoy her 🙂 She’s not as savage as Lily (whose videos I actually liked, though wished she had more…) but she does make very good points (and less cursing too, LOL)

Yay! Glad you liked Lily! Her Anna video is so on point to me, even though I really liked the book. I’ll admit her swearing is pretty untamed, though haha.
I watched Simone’s video on Carve the Mark, by the way. I really liked it! Love her aesthetic and she made some fantastic points. I’ll definitely be watching more of her. And she has so many more video than Lily! I’ve got a lot of videos to catch up on 😀

Hahaha I like Lily’s attitude on camera, but I guess it would aggravate me in real life XD Still, I enjoy her discussions quite a lot!
Glad you liked Simone! I found her by total accident and stuck around for more, just because of how eloquent and interesting her videos are. Have fun! 😉

Simone IS very eloquent and insightful. I’m really enjoying her reviews so far. And now I’m on the hunt for more booktubers like her haha

I also sometimes listen to classical music while reading, or movie soundtracks – in particular the Lord of the Rings one, it’s definitely one of my all time favourites. 🙂 Thank you for nominating me! ❤

Ah LOTR has such a phenomenal soundtrack! Great choice! If I don’t listen to LOTR, then I’m most likely listening to Skyrim’s soundtrack as a substitute haha. And no problem! 😀
