Many thanks to the wonderful Ava @ Reads, Rhythms, and Ruminations for tagging me in this fantastic little tag! If you haven’t already, go check out Ava’s awesome blog. You won’t be disappointed.
All right, let’s jump right into it!
Kaz’s brilliant schemes constantly kept me on my toes. Sometimes I could predict his plans, but most times, I just couldn’t keep up with his unpredictable ways. And I loved it!
While I could basically choose anything from Laini Taylor, Maggie Steifvater, and Sarah J. Maas, I’ll go with The Star Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi. Even though I’m not a HUGE fan of the book, I can’t deny that the writing is lovely.
Tony Stark (A.K.A. IRON MAN) played by Robert Downey Jr. He may be arrogant and he may be a playboy, but man, is he my favorite scientifically-minded Avenger and character in general. Also, RDJ portrays Sherlock Holmes, my other favorite scientifically-minded character, so this is a win-win situation! This is nearly impossible to answer. Since I have so many, I’ll just list a few:
- Day and June (Legend trilogy)
- Kaz and Inej/Jesper and Wylan (Six of Crows duology)
- Feyre and Rhysand (A Court of Mist and Fury)
- Katsa and Po (Graceling)
- Tessa and Will/Tessa and Jem (The Infernal Devices)
- Darcy and Elizabeth (Pride and Prejudice)
- Meghan and Ash (The Iron Fey series)
- Magnus and Alec (The Mortal Instruments)Again, this is way too hard to choose. I love Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch), The Tenth Doctor (David Tennant), Magnus Bane, Clarke (The 100), Rhysand, the Dregs (Six of Crows), Elizabeth Bennet, and so many more amazing characters.
I absolutely LOVE Pan’s Labyrinth! So dark, but so magical and touching at the same time. And the music is to die for, especially the lullaby. Oh yes. I do it allllllll the time. Am I ashamed that I do? Yes. Can it be helped? Probably not. Especially not if publishers keep making those gorgeous book covers!
Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass and it was amazing! Highly recommended.I would absolutely LOVE to visit Red London from A Darker Shade of Magic (mostly because Rhy and Kell are there…) and the city of Velaris in the Night Court (for MANY different reasons *winks*)!
Even though I thought this book was a pretty enjoyable read, there were just too many things that didn’t sit right with me to the point where I couldn’t understand the hype.

Loved almost all your literary couples pick. Especially Feyre and Rhys, and I cannot wait for ACOWAR to get here so we can read more of them. Gosh I have missed them so much!
Also love the Dregs, they are such an amazing group of badass amazingness lol. Would love to hang out with them one day lol.
I try not to judge books by their covers but I can’t help it either most of the time!!!
Thanks for tagging me!

I miss then so much too! They’re such a power couple. Can’t wait for ACOWAR.
I miss the Dregs. Especially Kaz and Jesper. They seem like a fun group to cause mischief with lol
And no problem! Hope you have fun this one 😀

Interesting tag and I love your answers Azia! I totally agree with you on Everything Everything. I don’t see why that book is any good.. I still need to read many books you mentioned on here but I do like the characters you mentioned in Six of Crows 🙂 Tessa & Will or Jem is such a hard choice haha.. Jem is so sweet though but Will is such a softy behind the jerk attitude lol Thanks for tagging me also!

Yeah, the ending kind of ruined Everything Everything for me. And six of Crows is by far my favorite YA right now! The characters are phenomenal. I love Jem so much but Will grew on me across the trilogy! So hard to choose. And no problem! Hope you have fun with this one if you do it 🙂

Ooh think I need to do this tag! Loved your answer for Drama, I’d have to agree I enjoyed it but don’t understand why it’s so popular

Oh please do! I’d love to see your answer for it! 🙂 And yay! It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who was unimpressed with the book. The ending really ticked me off, tbh lol

Yeah the ending seemed to be a massive cop out for me think if the ending was different I’d have rated it higher

I completely agree with that. Such a shame it ended that way. Hopefully her other book, TSIAAS, has a much better plot and ending!

I might give that one a try eventually but after EE I’m not in a rush 🙂

Thanks for nominating me for this award! I love the questions you asked, but I’m gonna have to think on those a bit. 😜 I will be reading The Star Touched Queen soon! That’s great that it has beautiful writing. And I agree with you about Everything Everything. I enjoyed the book, but I didn’t think it deserved all the hype surrounding it.

Of course! Hope you have fun with this one 😁 I really hope you like The Star Touched Queen. Excited to see what you think of it. And glad to see I’m not the only one who didn’t get the hype around the book! 😜

Ohh I’ve never seen this tag before but it seems like it must have been great fun. Also I loved reading your answers as well Azia. Crooked Kingdom is definitely a book I would have picked for that question because it left my head spinning in circles trying to keep up with everything Kaz had been planning and managed to pull of throughout. Also The Star-Touched Queen is definitely one of the best written books I’ve read in a while, so beautiful and the setting was gorgeous.
Again great picks for this tag Azia! 😀

It WAS great fun, and if you haven’t done it yet, I tag you as well!
And Kaz’s character always did the unpredictable. I love when I don’t see things coming haha.
The setting really was gorgeous. I’ll have to reread that book before picking up the second!
Thanks Beth 💕💖

Ohh, that’s great, I’ll add it to my list of tags still to be done (probably should get through those first!)
I never saw anything coming with Kaz, just made me love him and the book that little bit more.
I’m definitely going to need to re-read it soon, definitely this year at least! 😀

Awesome post, Azia! Iron Man is great, and so is RDJ. The tenth doctor is one my favourite characters as well! He is my favourite doctor and he’s brilliant.
And yes to Rhysand! He’s fantastic. I loved your answers. And thankyou for the shout out! 😀😊

Thanks, Ava! ❤ Yes! Another Tenth Dr. fan. He IS absolutely brilliant. I loved those episodes the best. And he and Rose were my favorite couple, by far.
Thank you! And of course 😀

Pan’s Labyrinth would definitely be the answer to that question for me, too! It’s so amazing! Also, very dark… It depicts the historical period perfectly, in an indirect way.

Thank you for the tag sweetie! I loved all of your answers, especially your favorite literary couples (which I so agree with). I also seriously need to read Star Touched Queen, I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things about it! I also totally agree with you on Everything, Everything, and I think you may know how mad that book makes me lol. All bookworms totally judge books by their covers, even if they won’t admit it 😉

Of course, love! Aren’t those couples just the best?? I’ll have to add Kell and Lila to that list now haha. And I think you might like The Star-Touched Queen. It has such beautiful writing and world-building! And we most certainly do! It’s the bookworm way lol. Thanks for reading, McKenzie ❤
