Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill over @ Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases we eagerly await. If you’d like to participate, click the link above and add your entry to the list!
Because I love Alice in Wonderland and because I will read just about anything from Marissa Meyer at this point, the next book I can’t wait to be released is:
Heartless | Marissa Meyer
Publication Date: November 8, 2016
Hardcover: 464 pages
Goodreads Synopsis
Long before she was the terror of Wonderland — the infamous Queen of Hearts — she was just a girl who wanted to fall in love.
Catherine may be one of the most desired girls in Wonderland, and a favorite of the yet-unmarried King of Hearts, but her interests lie elsewhere. A talented baker, all she wants is to open a shop with her best friend and supply the Kingdom of Hearts with delectable pastries and confections. But according to her mother, such a goal is unthinkable for the young woman who could be the next Queen.
At a royal ball where Cath is expected to receive the king’s marriage proposal, she meets Jest, the handsome and mysterious court joker. For the first time, she feels the pull of true attraction. At the risk of offending the King and infuriating her parents, she and Jest enter into an intense, secret courtship.
Cath is determined to define her own destiny and fall in love on her terms. But in a land thriving with magic, madness, and monsters, fate has other plans.
I’ve already pre-ordered this book so now it’s just the waiting game. In the meantime, I should probably finish up the Lunar Chronicles… 😉
I’m also looking forward to this book. It sounds awesome. The reviews I’ve read were pretty good. 🙂

I’m also excited about this book. I love stories that tell us more about the villains or misunderstood characters.

I wasn’t super keen on the ending of the Lunar Chronicles, but I am still super excited to read Heartless. Every time someone posts an ARC review I get that much more pumped to read it for myself! 🙂
